Questions/Comments from Audience
When is appropriate to apply fertilizers in corn as a second application?
Fertilizers for the second time should be applied when plants are at knee high. Fertilizers should be placed about 5cm from the plant, and then covered. In the area with continuous heavy rainfall, splitting can be done.
Discussion and Conclusion
Corn was planted December 8, 2011. Now the plants look good. We told them that when the plants get at knee high they should apply fertilizers (CAN). Beans have not been planted yet, however they will be planted in two weeks to come. The Pastor and other parish members were very interested with the idea of having a saving and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCOS) in his Parish. We told then we will consult the Microfinance department for establishing that kind of service here.
