Demonstration plots
Corn was planted November 17, 2012 and beans December 01, 2012. Both corn and bean plots look nice. Spacing has been properly followed and the management of the plots is as recommended. Last year, the plots were affected by heavy rainfall when at the early stages. This year rain has been normal. Pastor said that they expected better performance of the plots than that of last year. There is no disease symptoms in the plants, however some of the corn plants have insect holes indicating that there are leaf eating insects. We told them they should spray pesticides as soon as possible.
Conclusion
The plots are good, and plants are doing well. We instructed tham to apply fertilizers in the corn plot because this is the right moment. Pastor said that they are planning to do it in the next day.
