Purpose of the visit
• Deliver fertilizer for 2nd application
• Deliver pesticides ( Thionex) and Sprayer
• Give instructions on bean planting and 2nd fertilizer application on the corn plot

Review of the handouts
We gave them and went through the handouts for the 4th visit containing detailed information on;
• The important of regular weeding
• Planting bean seeds and NPK fertilizer placement
• 2nd fertilizer application
• Pesticide application and instructions on how to use the sprayer.

Corn plot
They planted corn very close to the church and near the road where many people can pass and see the progress of the plot. They had a very good germination and the plot has good looking corn. There had a little problem with following the recommended spacing between rows and within the rows.

Bean plot
Beans will be planted once they are done with plot preparation and we did demonstration of NPK fertilizer application for bean planting.



Questions from the audience

1. How many times to weed in the corn plot?
Weeding should be done regularly in order to prevent weeds from producing seeds.

2. They asked if we brought them fertilizer for side dressing in beans
Normally we don’t do 2nd application of fertilizer in beans because they can fix nitrogen and use it for plant growth.

3. They required instructions on how to use the sprayer
We gave them the instructions on how to use it.

Conclusion

Pastor Wallace Lupenza was not present but the district pastor was present and attended the training session and the demonstration of 2nd fertilizer application and bean planting.
