We instructed them on how to apply the insecticide on both corn and beans and the recommended rates to apply 4. Delivery. We delivered fertilizers for 2nd application and the pesticide for insect pest control. Corn, bean and pyrethrum Plots discussion Corn was planted in early January 2012. The plants looked young and were weeded recently. Germination was poor though the lines were properly spaced. Beans were not yet planted; the parishioners said they would plant beans in February. We didn’t visit the pyrethrum plot because it was raining Questions/Comments from Audience The rain disrupted the session; attendees could not ask questions or give out comments. Conclusion We hope that Lusinga will perform better this year because we changed the corn seed and they are in the second year of learning the good farming practices. The pyrethrum plot has been doing well; we hope many members of the village will plant pyrethrum this season.
