Purpose of the visit
• To deliver bean seeds, fertilizers and pesticides

• Discussion about germination, Replanting , Pest, weeding after planting and monthly weeding after tasseling

Roger delivered greetings from St. Paul Area Synod and Christ Lutheran, Lake Amo.
3. Demonstration on second fertilizer application on corn
There was demonstration on planting and fertilization of beans on rows 30cm apart and 10cm between plants. Also there was a demonstration on how do second applications of fertilizer in corn
4. Insecticide Application.
We instructed them on how to apply the insecticide on both corn and beans and the recommended rates to apply.

We delivered been seeds, fertilizers and insecticides

Corn and Bean Plots Discussion
Corn plot has been planted in December 12, 2011. There have been problems with the germination mainly due to rainfall pattern. Replanting was done and now the plot looks good. Two varieties have been planted here, improved variety and local variety. In all plots the farming techniques used is the same (spacing, fertilization and minimum tillage). Bean plot has been prepared ready for planting.

Pyrethrum
Pyrethrum will be transplanted in February. The pyrethrum plot has been selected but not yet prepared. We advised them to start tilling the land as soon as possible. The can use oxen, tractor or hand hoe. The land should be well tilled.

Conclusion
After we finish the demonstration they took us to the see the newly building which will be used as the Parish Dispensary. The building is close to the demonstration plots. It has been built by themselves with the help from their friends Christ Lutheran, Lake Amo.
