Purpose
• To deliver fertilizers for second application in corn and Pesticides

Demonstration meeting
The demonstration meeting here will be run by Pastor Nixon Mwitula to his parish members. Pastor is an agricultural expert. His Parish is one of the parishes which are doing very well in the program. He has gained knowledge and experience from the agricultural training program conducted by the Institute of Agricultural of Tumaini University. Therefore this time Pastor will run the demonstrations in his parish. We delivered fertilizers for the second application.

Corn and bean plots
The corn and bean plots look very good. Corn was planted December 12, 2011 and beans December 8, 2011. Corn plants are about knee high. We told Pastor that soon the will have to apply fertilizers as a second application. There have been rodents’ problems at the time of germination. Moreover, part of the corn plot was eaten by cattle grazed around. However the plants are sprouting back and probably this will not affect the yield.

Conclusion
This is one of the best Parish with good demonstration plots every year. We expect they will do the same by following instructions and manage the plots as instructed. Pastor said that many people in his Parish are adopting the techniques to their own farm. Also evangelists do come to the Parish to learn farming techniques and then go back to their preaching point and teach other parish members.
