We conducted a demonstration meeting tin the Parish Church. We have big turn-out today. This is one of the congregations with many people participating in the program. Parish Pastor and District Pastor both attended the demonstration meeting.
Purpose of the visit
• Explain and demonstrate how to take yield measurement
Topics
1. Greetings
Don delivered greetings from Mount Calvary - Eagan, Saint Paul Area Synod and US Ag Advisory Committee. He spoke about the importance of getting the right yield measurements and explained why they are highly needed.
2. We went through the handouts
o 5th Visit handout
o Yield recording sheet
o Rain record sheets to know the amount of rain received during this season
3. Demonstrations
We demonstrated how to measure the 10 m row (in three different locations within the demonstration plot) for the yield determination, this was demonstrated by using a miter tape, we used spray paint to mark the demarcations within which the measurements should be taken.

Plots information
Bean plot looks very nice. The plants are matured and starting to dry. The spacing was properly followed and the pods are well filled. Corn plot looks nice too. The plants are matured and dried. The close spacing will give high yield in this demonstration plot.
Comments
 We discussed with them about the spacing and the bean variety. We told them once we have the yield, we will be in better position to know if the variety suites this area and if the spacing is appropriate.
 They said most of them in the village do practice crop rotation. They have seen from the crop rotation practice, the soil fertility of their farms is conserved.
 They asked us if we can get another bean variety to test in demonstration plot. They would like to have another variety which is not bush like type.
We told them that we shall work on that

Conclusions
The parish members are working very hard here. The pastors’ supervision is good and very encouraging. She is working hard to attain the success of the program. We told them that they have good Pastor and good management. They should take the practices taught in their farms. That will be the big success of the whole program.
