The visit was scheduled on Nov 5th, 2009; however there was a village government meeting, former village leaders was handing power to new elected leaders. People/villagers were supposed to attend. We did deliver the fertilizers and seeds, and we scheduled another visit on Nov 11th, 2009. On Nov 11th, 2009 we went there and conducted our meeting.

Purpose of the visit
• Planting corn and fertilizer application demonstrations
• We reminded that we delivered corn seeds and fertilizers on Nov 5th, 2009
Topics
1. Greetings
Fred gave greetings from Amazing Grace, Saint Paul Area Synod and US Advisory Committee
2. Went through the handouts
o Fertilizer need template
o Plant population handout
o Fertilizer application handout
3. Demonstrations
We demonstrated how to measure inter row spacing (60cm) and intra row spacing (20cm). Using a string and a hand hoe, we demonstrated how to plant the corn and apply fertilizer. One seed was put every 20 cm and a bottle cup fertilizer was applied 5cm from the seed on each side.
4. Fertilizer and seed delivery
According to the soil analysis of the soil of this area, the type of fertilizer recommended was NPK (10-18-24). The congregation was given 2 NPK bags and 4 bags of seed H 628.

Comments/questions from audience
 They wanted to know why even though one applied fertilizer at 1 foot (knee high) plants become weak before maturity. We told them the reason might be because their soils are lucking organic matters hence being washed by rain or nutrients are subjected to reaching, or they may have used the wrong fertilizer.
 What kind of fertilizers should be used in this area for planting?
Based on the soil analysis taken from this area (Magulilwa) NPK 10-18-24 is the best.
 They asked why we chose only corn and beans, why not other kind of crops. We told them that we will only have a demonstration plots for corn and beans, but if they have any questions on other crops we will teach them but we won’t set a demonstration plots.

Conclusions/Recommendations
We emphasized the importance of following instruction because the success of the program depends upon them following what we instructed. They promised to follow all the instructions.
